Eagle Watch from
Lake-Whitney.com-2001

is scheduled for the second Saturday in January every year. The American Bald Eagles are
thought to be migratory staying around the lake area in the winter, however some
sightings have been made which may question how migratory they are.
Only two eagles were spotted this year 2001. There had been a juvenil in the past
few years and it is suspected that it has gone off on its own. The eagle watch
Saturday was rainny this year which made for difficult watching. Even though there
is one day as official eagle watch day at Lake Whitney, any sightings at any time is helpful.
